Giving Tree provides holiday gifts in Palmerton

School counselors Kristina Manning and Julie Cenci help organize this year’s Giving Tree gifts.

Last month, over 200 gifts were collected for families at S.S. Palmer Elementary School and Parkside Education Center in the Palmerton Area School District. This annual Giving Tree tradition is organized by the schools’ guidance department under the leadership of Mrs. Kristina Manning.

“The Giving Tree would not be possible without the generosity of the people in our schools and the organizations that support us,” said school counselor Kristina Manning.

Mrs. Manning works with outside nonprofit community organizations such as Raising the House to ensure that all of the gift requests are filled each year. Helping students and families in our school community (particularly during the holiday season) is truly what it’s all about, and we are glad to be able to spread holiday cheer each year.
