NAHS students at Cocalico High School Honor Area veterans

The Cocalico High School National Art Honor Society students, under the supervision of Mrs. Sandra McCarthy, recently honored veterans with a beautiful ceramic flower garden. The garden is located outside the auditorium entrance and features handmade red ceramic poppies created by the art students and welded to metal stems by the high school’s technology education students. The flowers are dedicated to high school students’ and staff members’ family and friends who have served their country in a branch of the Armed Services. Plaques honoring these individuals will be purchased at a later date.

According to Mrs. McCarthy, she “and the art students wanted to express their appreciation to the following individuals: Mr. Bierly and the technology education students for their assistance; McCarthy Engineering for their generous donation to help offset the costs of supplies; and to all of the area veterans who have dedicated their lives to serving their country.”
