WBUZZ celebrates 500th episode
WBUZZ’s crew and teacher were surprised with flowers by the Grandview Ambassadors to celebrate the filming of their 500th show.
Announcements are posted to YouTube and shared each morning with classes to inform students on topics ranging from lunch and weather to upcoming school events and important reminders. Students celebrated their taping with a live audience and a recap of the many different special guests and episodes over the years.
WBUZZ gives elementary students at Grandview the opportunity to learn new skills and explore potential career paths with broadcasting. Students participate as videographers, script writers, anchors and more. They are able to rotate roles during their time on the crew, which switches every few weeks in order to give as many students as possible the opportunity to try it out. Students learn valuable skills like public speaking, videography and teamwork.
