Students place at Westminster Model UN conference
Two Fox Chapel Area High School students placed at the annual Westminster College Model United Nations (UN) Conference. Senior Ori Goldin received an honorable mention (equivalent to second place), and sophomore Amelia Tedesco also won an honorable mention (equivalent to second place).
A total of 325 students from 25 public and private high schools from Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio participated in the Westminster College Model UN Conference. The competition was held April 14, 2026, at Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania.
The purpose of the Model UN conference is to enable students to role-play and simulate the countries in the United Nations. As a part of the conference, students debate and try to solve global problems from the perspectives of other countries.
