Second Grade Class Participates in Stockings for Soldiers

John Schumann’s second grade class at Crooked Billet Elementary School participated in Stockings for Soldiers 2020. The initiative was founded to improve the morale and welfare of members of the U.S. armed forces. Second-grade students filled stockings for soldiers with non-perishable goods such as granola bars and canned food, as well as other items like word search and crossword puzzles. The project not only benefits the military, but also helps students develop social, organizational and life skills.
