Robotics team wins at FIRST World Championship

As reported by WFMJThe Sharon Herald and The Business Journal, students in grades 4-8 competed in the FIRST World Championship in Houston, TX, against teams from around the world. The team received the Innovation Project Finalist Award, which recognizes the use of diverse resources for a team’s innovation project to help it gain a comprehensive understanding of its problem; has a creative, well-researched solution; and effectively communicates findings to judges and the community. The team won for its Adapt-a-Reel, built with Legos as an adaptive fishing tool to assist people affected by upper limb amputations or limited fine-motor skills.
