Nature knowledge to the test

Seneca Valley Biology Club competing at Envirothon
Teams earned high scores in Forestry, Wildlife and Soils. They were also tested in Aquatics and Current Environmental Issues.
Team members include freshman Avy Neurohr, juniors Albert Pimenov, Shann Israel, Max Stewart, Jacob Platt, Bella Landy, Carina Lombardo, Ella Schwaderer and Alec Zebra and seniors Addie Baker, Mya Henderson, Ashley Meeder, Genevieve Citrone and Sidney Karner.
Envirothon is the largest high school level environmental education competition in North America. In this event, students prepare and compete in topics related to topics in Wildlife, Aquatic Ecology, Forestry, Soils and Land Use and Current Environmental Issues. The competition is managed by our state agencies including the Game Commission, Fish and Boat Commission, PA Department of Agriculture and Conservation of Natural Resources.
Hundreds of teachers and professionals throughout Pennsylvania guide high school students through this natural resource environmental education program that combines classroom learning and outdoor activities. Seneca Valley Senior High School Biology Teacher Ms. Dana Hadley advises the Seneca Valley group.
