Central York High School senior, Sophie Rower, was recently awarded the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting from Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania.

Sophie earned the recognition through her hard work and support of mental health initiatives. She focused on peer-to-peer education and support, and providing resources for middle and high school students in a partnership with Aevidum of York County.

Sophie worked closely with Brian Heisey from the Central York Middle School Aevidum Club to update Aevidum curriculum and set examples for mental health support for other clubs across the country.

Central York School District congratulates Sophie on her impressive achievement!
