Blaine Alden Krauss answers questions from Tracy Elementary’s 5th grade music students about his Broadway career.

Tracy Elementary’s fifth grade students had a special guest visit their music class to teach them about a musical career on Broadway. The local Erie Philharmonic brought in Broadway star Blaine Alden Krauss, who played Hamilton in the traveling show for over a year until its recent close. During the visit, he talked about how he found his passion for music and performing, his education and other roles he has played. Students were able to ask questions and sing along during a brief performance of Hamilton’s “My Shot” with Blaine. The students were left inspired and eager to know more about the life of a performing artist on tour.

The Erie Philharmonic regularly brings guest musicians and performers to their stage in downtown Erie, Pennsylvania. When those guests come to town, the philharmonic try to bring them to local schools to visit with and inspire younger generations. The organization has also brought soloists, violinists and more to Millcreek Township schools over the past year alone.
