Bald Eagle FFA students earn top honors at state convention

Students from Bald Eagle Area School District’s FFA chapter achieved outstanding success at the Pennsylvania State FFA Convention, earning top awards in public speaking, leadership and agricultural service competitions.

According to a post shared on the Bald Eagle Area School District Facebook page, Bald Eagle FFA members demonstrated exceptional skill and professionalism while representing their school on the state stage. Bridget Dechow was named the state winner in Junior Prepared Public Speaking, while Parker Longo earned third place in the same competition. Owen Dechow received a Gold medal in Extemporaneous Speaking and was also recognized as the state winner in the Agriculture Service Proficiency category.

The chapter’s success extended to leadership events as well, with both Bridget Dechow and Owen Dechow earning Gold ratings as chapter delegates.

These accomplishments reflect the dedication, preparation and leadership of Bald Eagle Area students, as well as the strength of the district’s agricultural education program. Through FFA, students develop valuable communication, leadership and career-readiness skills that prepare them for future success while promoting the importance of agriculture in Pennsylvania communities.
