Seneca Valley students place at regional art exhibition

Seneca Valley High School students recently demonstrated that their creativity is truly an art form. At the Butler Art Center’s regional high school art exhibition, several Seneca Valley students showcased their exceptional talent, with eight students earning awards for their outstanding pieces.

Juniors Sara Breeger won first place for her submission titled “Smith and Evans” and Elizabeth Semenenko won with her submission, “Untitled.” Seniors Charlotte Acosta won second place with “Humanity Overshadowed by Remarkably Superior Being” and Owen Johnson won third place with “Freeing Imagination into Dimension.” Senior Carly Byrom won third place in ceramics with “Floor Dragon” and senior Madeline Zimmer, junior Julia Miller and Eliana Gorog received an Honorable Mention Award.

Additional Seneca Valley artists had work on display including seniors Sophia Aprile, Morgan Blough, Paige DeStasio, Bella Gianfrancesco, Kylee Puntureri, Audrey Wolfe, Alyssa Ho; juniors Katie Bookwalter, Christie Comstock, Emily Birsa Laurel Della Toffaloa and sophomores Ella Altieri, Maddie Connors, Megan Gates and Megan Hollerman.
