Richland offers new online tutoring program
Richland School District is working to close education gaps caused by the pandemic by offering a new online tutoring program available to students 24/7. According to an article in the Tribune-Democrat, the district has contracted the Paper tutoring service, and all students will have access to live tutors, 24/7 chats and unlimited sessions on any subject. District administrators project that students will likely use the service for subject such as math and chemistry. Another benefit of the program is that teachers can keep track of students’ activity on the program so they know where specific learners may need help. In order to introduce the service to families, the district held informational sessions for parents. COVID relief funds were used to purchase the program.
