Third grade students share their book and “window” displays.

Third grade students at Pleasant Valley Elementary in Peters Township School District learned the history of the Thanksgiving Day Parade, which began which began in 1924.

The “Wondertown Windows” were the fanciful holiday displays in Macy’s New York store and that year were decorated to the theme of nursery rhymes. Mrs. Williams’ class created their own themed “windows” this year that corresponded with a story book that they shared with first grade classes throughout the school. Each third grader presented his or her story to a first grade partner and then unveiled their decorated window as well.
