NHS Officers for 2024-25: President Alisha Knight, Vice President Christyangeli Luciano, Treasurer Siddhi Patel and Secretary Savannah Friel.

On November 7, 2024, the Harry S. Truman High School chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) inducted 27 new juniors and seniors.

“Tonight, we recognize not just academic excellence, but also the embodiment of character, leadership, scholarship and service that are the pillars of this organization,” said Principal Jon Craig.

Founded in 1921, NHS recognizes student achievement and excellence, serving more than one million students across all 50 states.

Held in the high school’s Lou Volpe Auditorium, inductees participated in a candle-lighting ceremony and recited the NHS pledge to be sworn in. Principal Craig and Elizabeth Gregory, teacher and faculty advisor, provided remarks to students and parents, and several new members spoke about the four pillars. NHS officers for 2024-25 helped plan and execute the ceremony. They included President Alisha Knight, Vice President Christyangeli Luciano, Treasurer Siddhi Patel and Secretary Savannah Friel.
