Tracy Elementary School unveils book vending machine

Tracy Elementary administrators, PTA members and State Representative Ryan Bizzarro proudly unveil a new Book Vending Machine at Tracy Elementary School.
Tracy Elementary School unveiled its new book vending machine during Read Across America Week. With help from State Representative Ryan Bizzarro, a $10,000 PA state grant and the school’s PTA, full funding for the machine and books to fill it were secured. Tracy Elementary’s PTA will continue to supply books through the years using Scholastic funds from their book fairs each year.
Books will be distributed to students as part of the school’s Paw-sitive Pride Program, which rewards students who display positive behavior. Students who receive a token for the machine can choose which book they would like from the selection and keep it to put in their own personal library. The hope is that this will further encourage a love for reading in the elementary students.
