Mrs. Koscinski’s kindergarten class

Towamensing Elementary School kindergarten teacher Shanna Koscinski found a unique project online that she shared with her class on Earth Day this year. Blue, green and white scrap paper shreds and water were put into a blender to form a paste/mud type mixture. That mixture was then formed into a ball to represent the Earth. The ball was then rolled in seeds. Each student was able to take their “Earth” home and plant it somewhere at their house.

“Although this project was extremely messy, the students just loved it. It is a fun and engaging way for students to celebrate our planet long after Earth Day is over,” said Mrs. Koscinski.
