DMAC Festival participants

On April 9, SV video production students and SVTV members attended the annual Robert Morris Digital Media Arts Consortium (DMAC) student video festival. These talented students walked away with seven awards!

Senior Gavin Cress was honored with a Founders Award in recognition of his tremendous work — both behind and in front of the camera — and for his leadership as SVTV president. He also picked up Best in Category for the “Black-and-White Photography” category.

Toby Nickles and senior Mason Loeffler won in the “Digital Cinema” category for their narrative final project from last spring, “Everything Around Us.” Mason also won in the “Photo Illustration” category.

Leo Simon won an Award of Excellence in the “Public Service Announcement” category for his snapshot into the perils of procrastination as well as in the “Documentary” category for his look into Ehrman Crest’s Wisdom Corridor.

James Gottuso was awarded in the “Commercial” category for his promotion of the 2025 documentary film screenings.

“I feel like a lot of people in the art world don’t get recognized for their work most of the time,” said senior award winner Mason Loeffler. “The DMAC was able to recognize and award me and a lot of other people for their work, which was really great to see.”

We are so proud of all our students and the great work they have done this year!
