Students win journalism competition

Congratulations to Palmerton Area Senior High School students Jared Reinhard and Kaitlyn Heimbach for winning first place in the Broadcast Feature category of the 2024 PA School Press Association’s Student Journalism Competition. This competition was held at Penn State in April. For their video, Jared and Kaitlyn conducted an interview focused on a new mural in the HUB-Robeson Center at Penn State. This mural was done by artist Juan Manuel Carmona, so Jared and Kaitlyn interviewed Juan as part of this process.
