UPHS Students witness a medevac up close!
Nine Upper Perkiomen High School students had the incredible opportunity to participate in the “Spend a Day with a Nurse” Career Mentoring Program at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Throughout the day, they delved into the intricacies of nursing practice, participating in four skills stations covering wound care, vision/hearing simulations for the elderly, stethoscope practice, and a presentation by the NICU staff. But the experience didn’t stop there! Our students also had the opportunity to meet therapy dogs, witness a medevac up close, and engage in other various enriching activities. For these sophomores and juniors, it was a day brimming with learning, discovery and inspiration.
