Students inducted into German honor societies

Several Fox Chapel Area High School and Dorseyville Middle School students were inducted into Honor Societies for Students of German.

The Fox Chapel Area High School students inducted into the Honor Society for High School Students of German, Delta Epsilon Phi, are seniors Jack Bergmann, Noelle Dick, Benjamin Fiedler, Lindsay Gould, Patton Johnson, Weidi Li, Devon McDonald, Alaina OKunewick, Hannah Parker and Rebecca Poole. Juniors Charles Hahl and Ian Wellman also were inducted.

The Dorseyville Middle School students inducted into the Junior Honor Society for Students of German, Junior Delta Epsilon Phi, are eighth-graders Charlotte Coutu, Rebecca Dorneich, Kai Galyardt, Peter “PJ” Hart, Sidera Kingman-Graves, Rishabh Krishnamurthy, Holden Link, Audrey Seiler, Rebecca Smith and Oren Wehler.

The Honor Societies for Students of German are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) and recognize the outstanding academic achievement of learners of German. In order to be inducted into the Honor Society for High School Students of German, students must be enrolled in the Advanced Placement (AP) German V class, have an overall GPA of at least 3.0 and at least a 3.5 GPA in German class. Students in the Junior Honor Society for Students of German must be in German II, have an overall GPA of at least 3.0 and a GPA of at least 3.5 in German class.
