Small School District – Big Student Opportunities!
Jefferson-Morgan School District | Posted on
Smaller rural school districts like Jefferson-Morgan are finding great success in increasing opportunities for our students through the use of partnerships! In order to offer many of the career opportunities that other bigger school districts can, small school districts need to be creative and work with each other. Established partnerships with schools like Albert Gallatin School District allow our students to participate in Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC), as does our partnership with West Greene School District for access to their Vocational-Agriculture Program, Penn Commercial for commercial driver license (CDL) training and shared transportation agreements with Carmichaels School District for increased access to the local career and technical center. These partnerships benefit each of our districts, allowing students to pursue areas of interest they may not have been able to with out such agreements, and they provides great value to the local taxpayer.
