Seneca Valley SkillsUSA Competitors

USA Olympians aren’t the only ones getting gold! Congratulations to the Seneca Valley Vo-Tech students who placed at this year’s SkillsUSA District 10 Competition, a program offered through the Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School (BCAVTS). Students throughout the region traveled to the New Castle School of Trades to participate in a variety of skills and leadership contests. This year, 10 Seneca Valley students competed!

Gold medals were awarded to the top competitors in each skill category, recognizing their outstanding performance and precision. The following Seneca Valley students will be moving on to compete at the state level: Mara Josephson, Elizabeth Semenenko, Kylee Brennan, Alessandra Johnston, Caroline Panyon, Odessa Quinlan and Gavin Uber

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry representatives working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student to excel. This national organization serves teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations, including health occupations and for further education.

These gold medalists have earned the opportunity to advance to the SkillsUSA Pennsylvania State Competition in Hershey from April 8-10, where they will compete for a chance to represent the state at the national level.
