Principal sleeps on school roof after students exceed PTA fundraising goal

Benner Elementary School Principal Dan Park made a promise to the students at his school that if they helped raise at least $10,000 for its PTA fundraiser, then he’d sleep on the roof of the school. They did; and he followed through on the promise.

Overnight June 2-3, he pitched a tent on the roof of the school and spent the night, while regularly posting videos to the school’s Facebook account. It rained throughout the day, but eventually stopped by bedtime. The school raised $10,359.50, which will help support school initiatives.
