Police visit students for Autism Awareness Month
Hatboro-Horsham School District | Posted on

A student shows a Horsham police officer his toolbox of sensory items.
The goal of the project is to help Horsham’s first responders learn more about people with autism and to understand how to effectively interact with children with sensory needs. Through this project, students are able to have positive interactions with officers and learn about their roles in the community. Three visits occurred in April and one in May.
