Students Teach their Parents
Third Grade Students provide a Reader’s Theatre, “The Chocolate Touch” to parents during a Parent Involvement Workshop entitled, Second Cup of Coffee.
Parents are invited to attend, have a cup of coffee, and hear, directly from students about what they learn at school. Students involved in Reader’s Theatre share a story that they have experienced in their own classroom.
Through their sharing, they demonstrate their comprehension, fluency, and public speaking skills in front of the parents and others who attended the workshop.
