Panthers read aloud
Panther Valley School District | Posted on
The Panther Valley Elementary School has been holding a World Read Aloud Day Celebration for the past two years. This year, Dr. Calabrese from St. Luke’s Health System, read a book called Lucy’s Mask via video to students. Students then made thank-you cards for first responders that will be delivered to the St. Luke’s Miners Hospital within the district.
Last year, Tom Connors from the Carbon County Animal Shelter read Can I Be Your Dog?, which is about the importance of adoption. Students collected money and donations for the animal shelter.
First grade teacher, Kara Krajnak has been organizing these annual programs. This program helps students make real world connections within their community to books and see the importance of giving back within their community.
