Under the direction of teacher and club advisor Jen Danzeisen, the Palmerton Area Senior High School’s mock trial team won their second district title by beating Jim Thorpe, Pocono Mountain West and Delaware Valley. They received a trophy and will be recognized at the Monroe County Law Day on May 22, 2024, in Stroudsburg.

The mock trial team also competed in the Region 10 competition at the Monroe County Courthouse. They came in second place and received excellent comments and accolades for their performances from the jurors and judge. Best Attorney awards were given to Maddie Everett, Nicole Kester and T.J. Taglieri. Best Witness awards were given to Kevin O’Neil and Skylar Benninger.

“The students work every day during their enrichment period to prepare for these events. I can’t say enough about these kids and their motivation, dedication and leadership. We really have special students at Palmerton High School,” said Jen Danzeisen.
