Middle school band performs at Festival of Music

The Dorseyville Middle School Honors Band recently performed at the Festival of Music adjudication at Cedar Point. The band earned the highest rating of “Superior” and also brought home the Overall Best Junior High Band Award. The band was given two trophies for its performance.
Choirs, bands and orchestras from Indiana, New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania participated in the Festival of Music at Cedar Point that was held May 17, 2024, in Sandusky, Ohio. The groups were judged by collegiate and professional-level directors.
The DMS Honors Band includes 50 students in grades six through eight. The DMS Honors Band is under the direction of teacher Anne Goggin.
