Lynx Express teaches career skills

The Lynx Express is comprised of students taking the Career Academy classes at the Oley Valley High School. This class teaches the basic skills of preparing how to follow written and oral instructions with modeling for baking, dehydrating foods, serving beverages, and creating crafts. The students have been busy making products that the staff has ordered for their holiday fun. Products such as mini wreaths, mini wreaths with candles, Santa cinnamon sticks (tree ornament), reindeer hot chocolate, dried/fresh potpourri, cookie mix and several soup mixes and cards (Happy Birthday, Get Well, Thinking of You, Just because…). Our students love when people order and then the students are responsible for preparing/delivering and making change. This program enables the students to have “hands on” experience.
