Juniata County Marching Band to march in Magic Kingdom Parade
This summer, the Juniata County Marching Band will be flying to Orlando, Florida, to experience the magic of Disney World. While at Disney, they will participate in the Magic Kingdom Parade. This will be the first time East Juniata marching band students will march in the parade since the Juniata County School District combined marching bands. The students will be in Disney World from June 14 to June 18, 2020. This is a great opportunity for students to display their musical talents at a larger venue and to park guests from around the world.
Guests of the Magic Kingdom Parade will enjoy seeing classic Disney characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, and Goofy as well as newer characters such as Elsa and Olaf. Those watching the parade will experience the sounds of numerous high school marching bands as well as the sights of fantastic floats.
This parade gives the Juniata County Marching Band the opportunity to travel to a new state and participate in a parade that is different than the parades they typically perform in locally. In addition, the students will be playing for a diverse audience with all ages of people watching, providing a multicultural experience. As Mickey Mouse says, “there is magic all around,” and the Juniata County Marching Band will be there to experience it all.
