Students and staff at J.S. Wilson Middle School work on creating gift bags to surprise their bus drivers and say “thank you” ahead of the holiday break.

Middle school students from the J.S. Wilson Advisory Committee and Millcreek Township School District staff recently came together to show gratitude to their dedicated bus drivers. They worked together to gather materials and stuff gift bags for each driver and monitor on their buses. The bags included water bottles, snacks and a handwritten thank you card. The principal, assistant principal and other staff delivered the bags to drivers just before winter break, which was a welcome surprise and met with many smiles.

This was one of many efforts the Advisory Committee has completed this school year. The committee is comprised of 7 students and 3-4 staff, who come together monthly to discuss ways to make J.S. Wilson better for staff and students.
