The Seneca Valley High School Math League team placed first in the region and 11th out of 95 participating high schools across the state.

Individually, senior Eric Combs and junior Alexander Kim tied with the 9th best cumulative scores in the entire state.

Students who had a perfect score on at least one of the six exams include Mr. Combs, Mr. Kim and seniors Nathan Craig, Benjamin Blucher and John Paris.

According to their website, The Math League contests give students an educationally enriching opportunity to participate in an academically oriented activity and to gain recognition for mathematical achievement. Each contest covers topics appropriate to the contest grade level, a variety of difficulty ranges, and involve topics of interest to above-average students.
