Stephanie Parrett, teacher at the Chambersburg Area Senior High School (CASHS), has been recognized as a recipient of the 2024 Yale Educator Award by the Yale Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

This award recognizes educators from around the world who inspire and support their students to perform at high levels and to achieve excellence. Parrett is one of 75 teachers and 20 counselors representing 39 states and 24 counties who were selected for the award.

Students entering the Yale Class of 2028 were asked to nominate outstanding educators who have deeply impacted their lives. Parrett was nominated for the award by CASHS class of 2024 graduate Eugene Covington and selected as a winner by a committee in the Yale Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

“Mrs. Parrett always goes above and beyond to provide her students not only an enjoyable experience learning English, but also her personal time and effort to provide recommendations for post-secondary planning,” shared Brad Ocker, CASHS building principal. “Being a recipient of this award solidifies Steph’s passion for her career and those students she influences.”

The Yale Admissions Office attributes the exceptional quality of the Yale student body to educators like these recipients of the 2024 Yale Educator Award, who shape their students long before they attend Yale. The Admissions Office is proud to thank these and all educators for their ongoing efforts in motivating and supporting their students.

Join us in congratulating Stephanie Parrett on this tremendous achievement!
