Each year, the Pennsylvania Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (PAFCS) is proud to recognize professionals who are truly outstanding in the field of family and consumer sciences. This year, Lauren Stauffer, representing the Hempfield Family and Consumer Science (FCS) Department, has been selected as the recipient of the PAFCS 2021 FCS Standards for Excellence Award.
The PAFCS Standards for Excellence Award evaluates family and consumer sciences programs on the following criteria: curriculum; instructional program; facilities; teaching staff; and district/community support. “We commend Lauren’s commitment to excellence with an FCS program that is robust and worthy of statewide recognition,” Jim Dague, Hempfield High School Principal.
Lauren Stauffer will be honored at the virtual PAFCS Annual Conference Awards Ceremony on Monday, April 26.
