Hazleton Area Mock Trial Team wins district competition

According to an article in the Standard‑Speaker, the Hazleton Area High School Mock Trial Team won the district championship after an undefeated run. School officials praised the students’ dedication, with Superintendent Dr. Brian Uplinger noting that “this accomplishment reflects the hard work, preparation, and teamwork these students bring to the courtroom.” The program helps students build legal reasoning, public speaking, and critical‑thinking skills as they prepare and present courtroom cases.
The team will advance to the regional competition, where they are set to compete on March 10 at the Northampton County Courthouse in Easton.
