Congratulations to Curtisville Primary’s (CP) staff and students! Curtisville Primary was named one of America’s Healthiest Schools by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation (AHG) after earning high marks in every category judged by AHG. Curtisville Primary is one of only 11 schools across the country to earn the highest award possible in every category.
The categories CP earned awards for include Family and Community Engagement, Nutrition and Food Access, Local Wellness Policy, Health Education, Physical Education & Activity, Social-Emotional Health and Learning, Staff Well-Being, Tobacco-Free Schools and School Health Services.
“This is a culmination of everyone’s hard work and attention to student and personal wellness,” Curtisville Primary Principal Jennifer Cavalancia said. “Our whole staff is fully committed to the well-being of every student, and they are why this accomplishment is possible. Being awarded on this scale is a reflection of what they actively do every day.”
