Bower Hill students uses giant light board funded by PTEF.

The Peters Township Education Foundation (PTEF) supports innovative ideas throughout our schools. Last year, Mrs. Hanak at Bower Hill had an idea to add a giant light board to their sensory room at the school. She applied for a grant and worked with our high school Applied Engineering and Manufacturing classes to construct the project.

Other projects funded include finch robots for McMurray Elementary, 3D printing pens for the Introduction to Innovation class at the Middle School, and the creation of a Logic Library that will contain games that promote logic and critical thinking for students at Pleasant Valley Elementary.

In 2024, PTEF provided $7,402.07 in funds to support classroom projects. Since 2012, PTEF has provided more than $110,000 in funds to support education at all levels in Peters Township.
