Chalk the Walk to benefit mini-Thon
To help raise money for Bellefonte Area High School’s annual mini-Thon event, National Honor Society (NHS) and student council teamed up for an event that allowed students and school club members to buy a block of sidewalk outside the school and create art on it using chalk. The event happened during Raider period on October 12-13.
According to NHS adviser Chris Morris, blocks of sidewalk were purchased for between $5 and $20 by individual students and members from school clubs such as GSA, Key Club, Spanish Honor Society, B the Change and more.
All proceeds will benefit the Four Diamonds fund that has a mission to someday cure childhood cancer and benefit families impacted by the disease.
