Byte-sized learning: PVE meets PVHS

Working together to break the code!

It was a high-energy day of discovery at PVE as our first and second graders teamed up with awesome mentors from Pleasant Valley High School for a special Hour of Code! Through the fun, interactive world of Code.org, our younger learners dove into the basics of programming, turning screen time into a hands-on masterclass in logic and creativity. The high schoolers did an incredible job making complex concepts easy to understand, showing our “mini-coders” how these skills power everything from video games to space exploration.

Watching our older students inspire the next generation was the highlight of the day. It wasn’t just about learning to code — it was about building confidence, exploring future careers, and seeing firsthand the amazing things we can achieve when we work together. We are so proud of our curious students and our talented high school leaders!
