Business partners with school to provide students with coats, gifts

A group of students at Williamsport Area School District will receive free coats to wear this winter, thanks to a donation made by the district’s insurance firm, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.Dereck Malzi, the firm’s area assistant vice president, stopped by the district service center on Thursday to donate 10 coats for students at Williamsport Area High School. The donation is a part of the company’s annual Coats 4 Kids Drive.
In addition to the coats, the insurance firm also is raising funds from its employee base to put together holiday gift packages for a selection of students at Stevens Primary School. The gift packages will include items, such clothing, shoes, and small toys and games.
