Students at BHS celebrated school pride and the importance of community

At Biglerville High School, community matters. On Friday, we held our first pep rally, and the gym was filled with energy, cheers, dancing and Canner Pride! It was more than just a fun event; it was a chance to come together, connect, and remind us that we are stronger when we celebrate together.

Building community isn’t something we do once in a while; it’s part of our school culture. We celebrate students through programs like our semester awards, Fiesta Friday, Friday shout-outs, and Cannerval Conectados. On Fridays in Ms. Showers and Mrs. Showers’ classrooms, you will hear the Alma Mater being sung at the start of each period, and in Mrs. Fry’s class, there is a focus on connecting through traditional games.

We are proud of the way our students show up with spirit and positivity, and grateful to our staff for supporting them in making these moments possible. At BHS, community is who we are, and it’s what makes being a Canner so special. #GoCanners
