Blooms of Hope

Members of the MAHS National Honor Society recently completed the 2025 Blooms for Hope campaign.

Spring has arrived and the MAHS National Honor Society marked this changing of the season with a special delivery for their supporters! The Chapter’s annual Blooms of Hope initiative raised more than $1,300 for local cancer patients and their families, particularly for those in hospice care. Daffodils were delivered, fittingly, on the first day of spring! This annual event is just one of many service projects the NHS participates in each year.

Meyersdale NHS students have raised more than $32,000 since the inception of this annual campaign, first known as Daffodil Days.

To date, the Blooms of Hope contributions have served hundreds of patients throughout Somerset County. All proceeds remain in this area, benefitting Somerset County cancer patients through assistance with medical bills and associated costs for treatments and hospitalizations.

“Blooms of Hope is an opportunity to directly support those in our community that are struggling with cancer,” explained Bree Yoder, NHS advisor. “It is a privilege to add some beauty through the daffodils while also raising money for this very important cause.”
