BCIU student artwork showcase goes virtual for 2021

The Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) hosted its fourth annual Student Artwork Showcase. The pieces in this year’s exhibit were unveiled as part of School Director Recognition Month during the BCIU Board of Directors meeting on January 21, 2021.

The exhibit features the work of talented high school art students from all 18 school districts in Berks County, as selected by their teachers. The theme for this year’s entries is “Keeping Connected in Extraordinary Times.”

The live reception and recognition held in the past was adjusted to a virtual format this year due to present group gathering limits. A video highlighting the talented student artists and their work was shown to board meeting participants, while students, parents, teachers and others could view the presentation via a livestream link on YouTube. In addition to being on display in the BCIU Board Room through the end of the calendar year, this year’s artists will also have their work showcased in a virtual gallery for all to see.
