Ag Engines class gets hands-on experience during restoration

Hands-on experience is the cornerstone of Clarion-Limestone Area School District’s (C-L) strong Technology Ed and Agriculture program, which includes courses in Machining and Welding, Agricultural Welding, Woodworking, and Architectural Drawing. The Advanced Ag Engines class and the C-L Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter recently completed a rebuild and restoration of a 1939 Farmall H. The tractor was completely locked up and severely rusted when it arrived at the school. It took three years to complete the restoration due to COVID-19 and its many interruptions. The tractor was intended to be presented at The PA State Farm Show in Harrisburg but unfortunately, it was not finished in time for presentation.

The driving forces behind finishing the restoration were Corbin C., Korbin K., Jordan T., Brady H., and Ms. Stoops, the FFA advisor. Special thanks is also extended to Miller Welding for helping with the sandblasting process, Rice Equipment for its support and Albert Miller Equipment for the advice and parts.
