Students at Beaver-Main Elementary welcomed State Representative Robert Leadbetter for a special visit that combined community, agriculture and civics. Earlier in the day, the children rolled up their sleeves to help husk fresh sweet corn generously donated by Davis Grown Farms, which also provided corn for lunches across the Bloomsburg Area School District. During his visit, Rep. Leadbetter joined the students in conversation about his work in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and how state government serves its citizens. He was joined by Crystal Davis, owner of Davis Grown Farms, who proudly supplied the local harvest that brought the day’s lesson to life.
