Students make blankets for veterans

In a heartwarming display of generosity, our students have come together to create a ripple of warmth! Students in Ms. Wimer’s fourth period Vocational Readiness class made fleece tie blankets for veterans living at Passavant Community in Zelienople. Materials for the blankets were graciously donated by Ms. Michelle Eppinger, No Cost to Shop coordinator and job coach-paraprofessional. The students worked as a team to measure, cut and tie the fringes to make a total of five cozy blankets that will provide an extra layer of comfort during the chilly winter days.

“The students have done a great job making the blankets, and I’m very proud of all their efforts,” said Elizabeth Wimer, vocational coordinator at Seneca Valley Senior High School.

Ms. Muto, special education paraprofessional, will be delivering the completed blankets to Passavant.
