A chorus of congratulations

SV District chorus members
Over the week of February 5-7, the Pennsylvania Music Education Association (PMEA) District Chorus was held at Rochester High School. More than 50 school districts participated, and 19 Seneca Valley Chorus members attended, proudly representing the district. Dr. Mark Boyle of Seton Hill University was the guest conductor. The choir received thunderous applause and a standing ovation as the full-house audience enjoyed the uplifting song selections, even joining in for a rendition of “It’s You I Like” by Mr. Rogers. Students from Beaver, Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties collaborated for an experience they will never forget.
“Dr. Boyle did an outstanding job of making the students feel important and comfortable and helping them to grow,” said Ms. Bobi-Jean Alexander, SV Choir Director.
Based on audition results, 10 SV students (Ayla Alexander, Aydan Danylo, Addison Grassa, Isaac Hixon, Maddy Karns, Shayla Kemp, Jacob Maietta, John Rieger, Madelyn Tresky and Madeleine Tomo) will be moving on to the PMEA Region 1 Chorus Festival to be held in March at Waynesburg University.
