STEAMtember celebrates hands-on learning in West Mifflin

Throughout September, students across the West Mifflin Area School District celebrated the first-ever STEAMtember, a month-long spotlight on the hands-on STEAM education that’s already a key part of learning districtwide. Students are regularly challenged to think critically, solve problems and make meaningful connections across subjects.

What made STEAMtember stand out were the field trips that brought elementary students to the high school and middle school for immersive, STEAM-focused experiences led by older students.
