Butler County Youth Leadership
Ten Seneca Valley students recently completed the Butler County Youth Leadership Program. This dynamic program focuses on providing students exposure to issues, resources and opportunities for service in the Butler County area as well as educating students on the concept of “community leadership.”
This year’s class consisted of 30 students from various school districts throughout the area. Over the course of four sessions, students engaged with prominent Butler County professionals who shared insights on healthcare, education, human services, manufacturing and finance. In addition to these presentations, students further developed their team building and leadership skills, refined their resumes, and volunteered at a local food pantry. The program concluded at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex where students toured the facility, enjoyed ice skating and attended a presentation on financial literacy.
Participating students included seniors Sonya Dietz, Haley Hilliard, Nina Luo, Megan Marley, Gabbie Nye, Maddie Och and Kaia Satory along with juniors Elaina Donahue, Alaina Hahn and Corey Wolfe.
