Students qualify for National Catholic Forensic League Tournament

Two Fox Chapel Area High School students qualified for the National Catholic Forensic League Grand National Tournament. Additionally, two students placed at the national qualifying tournament and will serve as alternates. The team of juniors Joanna Li and Zachary Rubin won second place overall in Policy Debate and qualified for the national tournament. Additionally, the team of sophomores Noelle Fouron and Elaine Huang won seventh place in Public Forum Debate, and are first alternates to the national tournament. The competition will be held in Chicago Memorial Day weekend.

The Pittsburgh Diocesan national qualifying speech and debate tournament was held March 1, 2025, at Fox Chapel Area High School. A total of 187 students from 13 public and private high schools from the Pittsburgh area participated in the tournament.
